I don't know if you know, but just in case you don't, you might be
interested to hear that there is currently a Mac version (for OS X and OS 9
AFAIK) in the works, so it should pay off to check the site
(http://foldingathome.stanford.edu) every now and then. I don't know when
the client will be completed though.
BTW, thanks for your post, it was pretty interesting.
