My PI is looking for a research associate with the following
qualifications:
Job Description:
We are looking for a person who is highly motivated, works well
independently, has strong communication skills and is committed to
research. The successful candidate will be involved in investigating the
parameters that affect foreign protein expression in a variety of
systems. They will also be involved in developing systems and
technologies to more fully exploit the potential of protein
therapeutics. Experience with bacterial and/or yeast expression vectors
is required. Experience in protein expression, purification, protein
refolding and protein analysis using immunological methods is
considered important. The successful applicant should be familiar with
sequence analysis software and oligo design programs. Demonstrated
expertise in standard Molecular Biology techniques such as PCR, cloning,
library construction and screening, Northern, Western, etc is expected.
Familiarity with yeast expression systems and genetics is advantageous.
The candidate should have an M. S. degree in Molecular Biology Life
Sciences and several years of relevant laboratory experience.
