protein precipitation

Dear Emir, thanks for the tip.  My supervisor suggested a similar thing to
me BUT when I tried it out with a plain wate solution I found a lot of PEG
penetrated the membrante (mwc 12000).
     Do you think the membrane is not really mwc 12000 or
     my PEG is not really as high molecular weight as I thought

     OR should I not really worry about getting PEG mixed up with my
     protein.
