How does modification of a protein alter its apparent mwt on SDS-PAGE ?
Is it purely the increase in mwt due to the added residues or do they have
an effect on the overall charge of the protein altering its mobility ?
Any answers gratefully recieved and are there any basic references for a
"DNA man" to check out
