Indeed, if the ammonium sulfate precipitate cannot be dissolved by
removing the AS, that is by extensive dialysis against a buffer in
which the protein was soluble before, it is clear that it is
denatured, aggregated or whatever. So to rescue this batch, you could
try GdnHCl. But the next time you should find a way to avoid ammonium
sulfate precipitation at all.
