Go to the top floor of Lister Hill library, and introduce yourself to the
Methods in Enzymology series.  If memory serves, as you're walking south
(towards 8th Ave So.), on the right hand side, ablout halfway down the
stacks.  Far end of the stack, near the study cubes.  Lots of little green
books.

Also, try the Maniatis manual for starters.
