I have purified a zinc containing enzyme which dissociates during natif
PAGE into its subunits. (Buffer and pH is not the reason for dissociation)
The enzyme also dissociates if it is incubated with chelators like EDTA,
which was analysed by gelfitration.
Here my question:
Are there any reports on dissociation of metal dependent proteins during
PAGE, or does anybody have an idea why the protein dissociates?
