LECTURESHIP IN MOLECULAR CELL BIOLOGY

Applications are invited from individuals with an excellent research
record in molecular cell biology and, preferably, proven ability in
teaching, for the above mentioned post. Applicants must have an honours
degree (or equivalent) and a Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology,
or a closely related subject. Experience of applying molecular
biological techniques to the study of one of the following: signal
transduction pathways, molecular processing, intracellular proteolysis,
or mode of action of transcription factors, is essential. Expertise in
differential display and yeast two-hybrid systems, would also be highly
desirable. The successful candidate will be expected to develop an
independent research programme and to foster collaborative links with
other members of the Centre for Peptide and Protein Engineering, to
which he/she will be associated.
The successful candidate must also be committed to research-led teaching
and will be expected to make an immediate (although relatively light)
contribution to undergraduate teaching.
