MAD COW DISEASE TRANSMISSIBLE TO HUMANS VIA MEAT

I was under the impression that the latest results suggested that there was
a much *smaller* chance of prion diseases being transferred across the
cow-human species barrier than originally thought, and hence that the risk
of acquiring BSE from beef was less than previopusly reported.
