Our laboratory is working on basal transcription in non TATA containing
promoters in fission yeast. In that context we tried to get the TFIID
cDNA out of a cDNA Matchmaker library (Clontech) via PCR. We failed,
because the cDNA seems to be truncated at the 5' end. Since the gene
includes introns we can't use genomic DNA for that purpose. So we're
looking for the TFIID cDNA clone of S.pombe this way. If you have the
clone or know anybody, who has it or a good S.pombe cDNA library and is
willing to send us an aliquot of it please contact:
