AIDS antibody tests, false positives etc

Read up on serology testing - the antibody that is detected is
the one that is in the patients sample. ALL serology tests will
on occasion give false postives (actually all tests seem to have
a rate of false pos.) - This is why ROC curves are important and
Bayesian risk calculation. See any Clinical Chemical textbook
on how to use these numbers.
