Hi everyone, we need help and advice. We have prepared a synthetic
peptide antibody to an outer membrane protein. On Westerns in an
unheated sample this antibody picks up a 36Kd LPS protein (wavy profile
on blot). However, on heating the antigen we detect a smaller product
with a sharp profile. Can any LPS be heat sensitive? Is there any other
modification which will produce the typical LPS profile in gels?
