Mytilus protein???

I am researching chemorecption in the dogwhelk Nucella lapillus.
There has been little research directly involving Nucella, but
similar work on Oceanebra and Urosalpinx suggest that neogastropods
can detect a protein released by prey (in this case Mytilus edulis,
the blue or edible mussel), in the range 10000 to 100000 daltons.

I would be grateful if anyone can help clear up the situation,
or knows of research papers which can help,

Yours sincerely, Karl Wilding QMW, London
