Dear Netters,
We have a rather `misfit' kind of result with a protein that
we are interested in.
On incubation with calcium, the tryp. flourescence of the prot. is
almost totally quenched. Addition of Ca actually shifts the UV maxima from
281 to 298 (Abs.) But we are also getting a massive increase in absorbance
at 245nm on addition of Ca.
Does anyone have any ideas on what this could really mean ? (I am
interested to see if our pet theory is valid.)
- Nevil
