Pi-bonding between Phe's - any references/help?

The best reference I have seen on this subject is Hunter, CA, Singh, J, and
thornton, JM, Journal of Molecular Biology 218(4): 837-846, 1991 Apr20.
The title is Pi-pi interactions: the geometry and energetics of
phenylalanine-phenylalanine interactions in proteins. It applies the model
developed by Chris Hunter and Jeremy Sanders for pi-pi interactions to
proteins of all kinds.
