Postdoctoral Position
National Renewable Energy Laboratory

A multi-year research position is available to study the biochemical and
cellular mechanism of bacterial cell death caused by oxidative damages
from reactive oxygen species.  Responsibilities include research for
understanding how reactive oxygen species interact with cell surface and
intracellular components,  and the mechanism of the subsequent cell
death.  Other related areas include how bacterial surface interacts with
the environment and with other surfaces, and how to improve microbial
immobilization process.  Prior knowledge of  the behavior of bioaerosols
is a plus. Qualified applicants should possess a Ph.D. in microbiology
or related field, a strong background in bacterial surface analysis,
immobilization, and expertise in common cellular and biochemical
techniques.  The successful candidate will be interacting with a
multidisciplinary team in performing research leading to improved indoor
air quality.
