Molec. Biol. Tomato Meeting: SECOND ANNOUNCEMENT

An international conference devoted to the Molecular Biology of Tomato 
will be held August 1-4, 1996 at the Clark Kerr Conference Center
of UC-Berkeley.
The meeting will begin with a reception Thursday evening. Scientific
sessions will be held Friday and Saturday mornings and afternoons, and
on Sunday morning. There will be a poster session Friday evening, and a 
banquet/cookout on Saturday evening. 
Registration will be ~$150 with a reduced rate for students. 
Accommodations, including meals, will be available for ~$190 double, 
~$250 single. Individual meal tickets for commuters will be available.

The scientific program will include the following topics: 
1) genome analysis, manipulation and breeding 2) flower and fruit 
development and physiology 3) vegetative development and physiology 
4) plant-pathogen interactions 5) workshop on genetic resources and tools.
Confirmed speakers are: Dr. Dani Zamir (Hebrew Univ.,  Israel), Dr. Mark 
van Haaren (Free Univ.Amsterdam, NL),  Dr. Don Grierson (Univ. Nottingham, 
UK), Dr. Harry Klee (Univ. Florida, USA),  Dr. Yuji Kamiya (Riken, JP), 
Dr. Reid Frederick (Purdue, USA),  Dr. Colwyn Thomas (Sainsbury Lab,
Norwich, UK). 
Additional speakers will be selected from the submitted abstracts; all other 
contributions will be accommodated in the poster session. 

Abstract submission and registration forms will be mailed (the first week 
of May) to those who replied to the 1st announcement. If you did not 
ALREADY reply to the 1st announcement, but would like to receive

Abstracts to be considered for additional lecture presentations MUST 
be received by MAY 31. All other abstracts and ALL registration
