      The First Supplement of _Seed Germination Theory
and Practice_ is now available for distribution. The price
is $15 postpaid anywhere in the World. Send orders to

U.S.A. Personal checks must be drawn on a U.S. bank or a
bank with a U.S. affiliate.
      The Supplement consists of 108 pages and studies on
1080 new species. Noteworthy are (a) Chapter on Cactaceae
with studies on 273 species (about 2/3 require
gibberellins for germ.), (b) Chapter on Aril Iris (a
troublesome group with a new twist), (c) fruits blocking
oxygen from the seeds (a new blocking mechanism), and (d)
studies on the dying of seeds in storage with some
