vitamin B12 in plants?

Someone in my lab is wondering whether there is definitive evidence for or
against the presence of vitamin B12 in plants. He believes that cobalt
is non-essential in plants, seemingly ruling out the requirement for B12.
Anyone have any information on this topic?

The person to contact is Jihong Liang at jlxx at midway.uchicago.edu
