The opinion of most specialists is that's not a pathogen, and that its
proliferation in stools is a mere epiphenomenon of something else going
wrong (maybe an intestinal malabsorption).
Put her on a diet without milk and dairy products for some weeks, maybe
adding some probiotic bacteria to reconstitute a normal bacterial population
in her guts, probably disrupted by Metronidazole.
