POSTDOCTORAL POSITIONS:
Two-to-three year positions are available immediately in the laboratory of Richard Straub
at the Medical College of Virginia (Richmond).
Project goals (primary collaborators Kenneth Kendler and Charles MacLean):
1. Clone the schizophrenia vulnerability locus in region 6p24-22.
2. Identify and confirm additional loci by linkage analysis and other methods.
3. Clone the additional loci.
Applicants should be Ph.D.'s or M.D.'s with training and experience in some of the following
areas: genotyping, physical mapping, gene identification, mutation detection and sequencing.
Experience with the Applied Biosystems DNA sequencer, robotics, and genome informatics
strongly preferred. Salary range is $25,000 and up depending on experience. Send (do not email)
