I need a program to assist with editing .gen files
directly. I'd like to be able to zero out specific
individuals in specific markers in specific families.
The unmerge program won't do this, it only allows you
to delete entire markers or entire families.
I'd hate to do it manually with a text editor, since
we have 200 markers and there's a good chance for
introducing an error.
This is a common task. I'm sure someone's written
a quick hack to do it. I'll write one myself if I
have to, but why write code someone else has
already written?
Of course, the ftp site with this simple program would
be a great thing for me to add to the 28 May release
of the FAQ.
