This trait has been looked at in humans and mice and is assumed to
be a multi-gene disorder, as there is no clear link to any single locus
in either species. While I have no specific references, if you have access
to periodical database such as OVID, you could search all the abstracts with
the term "short sleep" or "long sleep mice" which desccribes strains of mice
with differing susceptibility to I.P. injection of ETOH.
