Yes. We have such experience. See our recent paper:
M.Fleischmann et al.: "Cardiac specific expression 
of the green fluorescent protein during early murine embryonic
development". FEBS Letters (1998), 440, 370-376.

Additionaly, we can give some information on the metabolism of EGFP in
our
adult mice wich produce huge amounts of EGFP due to expression in the
sceletal muscles.
