Are you an experienced scientist with a strong background in fly
genetics and a keen interest in supporting the fly community? If so,
please consider applying for the new scientist position at the
Bloomington Drosophila Stock Center. The new scientist will participate
in all aspects of running the center--both scientific and
administrative--including collections management, user support,
personnel supervision, information management, oversight of financial
operations and management of external funding. Candidates should have
extensive knowledge of Drosophila genetics, excellent communication and
information management skills, proven grantsmanship, and a strong desire
to support Drosophila research. We anticipate that this person will
eventually assume a primary leadership role. For more information, see
http://flystocks.bio.indiana.edu/News/new_scientist.htm. Indiana
University has an outstanding scientific environment and Bloomington is
a great place to live!
