I am new in working with Drosophila so this might be a naive question to
some. I have received a piggyback (Exelexis) insertion line (balanced by
TM6B, Tb ) that is embryonic lethal for the insertion. I am wondering if
there is an easy way to identify the dead embryos (due to homozygosity of
the balancer) from the other dead embryos (dead due to homozygosity at the
insertion locus)? I will greatly appreciate any help in this matter.
