LECTURESHIP IN DEVELOMENTAL GENETICS
Applications are invited for a two-year post of Lecturer in
Developmental Genetics, beginning 1st October 2002, in the School of
Biological Sciences. The successful applicant will be expected to teach
in the areas of Genetics and Developmental Biology and to pursue
research in collaboration with other members of the Developmental
Genetics Group; currently 5 labs study Drosophila development.
The School of Biological Sciences offers an excellent teaching and
research environment; it achieved a combined score of 22/24 for Biology
teaching in the 1998 QAA Review and a Grade 5 in the 2001 Research
Assessment Exercise. JIF funded projects have established the Genome
Damage and Stability Centre, the Sussex Centre for Advanced Microscopy,
and have refurbished Neuroscience and Experimental Psychology.

Salary will be on the Lecturer Grade A Scale £20,470 to £24,435 per
