Postdoctoral Position in Drosophila Brain Development
A postdoctoral position is available for studies of genetic and molecular
mechanisms of brain development in Drosophila. The position is available
from April 2000 for three years. Successful candidate will be appointed as
a university stuff at the level of Research Associate or Lecturer depending
on qualification. Current investigations focus on identification of control
genes that are important to the embryonic brain regionalization and the
development of complex brain centers involved in olfactory learning (Neuron
15, 769, 1995; Neuron 15, 975, 1995; PNAS 95, 3737, 1998; Development 125,
1703, 1998; Trends Genet. 14, 211, 1998; DGE 2000, in press; PNAS, 2000 in
press). Candidates with experience in molecular biology and/or genetics are
