RESEARCH POSITION at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Biotechnology
(IMBB) in Crete.
The position is available at post-doctoral or post-graduate level for a
period of 6 months to 3 years. Candidates should have a strong interest in
the genetic-developmental basis of morphological evolution; practical
experience in molecular biology would be an advantage. Research will
involve cloning of homologous developmental genes from different organisms,
comparison of expression patterns in various arthropods (insects,
crustaceans, arachnids), comparative study of regulatory elements etc. (see
Nature 385: 627, Nature 388: 682), depending on candidate's own interests.
Interested applicants should communicate with Michalis Averof
(averof at imbb.forth.gr) as soon as possible.
