Dear Drosophila researchers,

I am a non-drosophila researcher
interested in the genetic
localization of the drosophila genes of
NO-sensitive guanylyl cyclase.
I have looked up the following genes
with chromosome locations:
dgc1 63A1-63A2
dgca1 99B1-99B11
dgcb1 100B1-100B9
In humans there is a striking
colocalization of the a1 and
b1 genes of NO sensitive guanylyl
cyclase on chromosome 4 (q31-33).
My question is: Can it be said that
dgca1 and dgcb1 also colocalize
genetically in drosophila. I have no
idea about the system and nomen-
clature in drosophila. But it seems to
me that dgca1 and dgcb1 could be
in a similar region? on the same
chromosome?
Thanks for your help
Soenke
