Two post-doctoral positions are available immediately to study Drosophila
embryonic development.
The first project, funded by HFSP, aims at identifying new genes involved in
head patterning, via a two-hybrid screen for proteins interacting with
Collier (Col), a member of a new family of HLH transcription factors (COE
factors) and a genetic screen based on the col head and wing phenotypes.
The second position, funded by CNRS, concerns the identification of new
genes required for the determination and formation of neural precursors
during early neurogenesis through molecular and genetic approaches.
Ideally, successful candidates would have substantial background in
Drosophila genetics and molecular biology.
