A full-time position is available for a laboratory technician in a
Drosophila molecular genetics lab at the Wadsworth Center in Albany, NY.
My laboratory is studying DNA replication within late-replicating
heterochromatic regions of the chromosome (MCB, 1997, 17:1254). Duties will
include assissting with research experiments using standard techniques in
molecular biology as well as conducting routine laboratory tasks. The
Wadsworth Center is the laboratory branch of the New York State Department
of Health and houses both basic and clinical laboratories that have
affiliations with the State University of New York at Albany and Albany
Medical Center. Information about the Wadsworth Center and work being done

through 1/31/99 with continuing renewals anticipated through 1/31/01.
Minimum qualifications: a bachelor's degree in the biological or chemical
sciences. Preferred qualifications: research and/or educational experience
in genetics and molecular biology. Interested individuals should send a
