POSTDOCTORAL FELLOWSHIP -
Molecular Genetics of Signal Transduction
At:The Institute of Cancer Research, University of
CRC Centre for Cell and Molecular Biology, Chelsea,
A postdoctoral position is available in the area of
signal transduction by Ras proteins in either of the
model organisms: (1) the fission yeast S. pombe (see
Nature 344:355 and 364:349) or (2) the fruit fly D.
melanogaster (in collaboration with Prof Ernst Hafen,
University of Zurich). The study of the roles of Ras
proteins is a major component of the work in the CRC
Centre and the project will involve interaction with
groups studying these proteins in mammalian cells.
Applicants should have experience in either yeast or
Drosophila genetics and have a keen interest in the
genetic analysis of signal transduction. The position
is available immediately for up to three years.
Starting salary will be up to 20,428 pounds per annum.
Enquiries about the projects can be made to Dr David
