FlyBase update May 19 1993 - P1 clone lists now available.
The Drosophila Genome Center has made its list of P1 clones available to
FlyBase. They can be accessed either through the FlyBase Gopher server or
by anonymous ftp from the Flybase server (ftp.bio.indiana.edu).
These files list 1810 P1 clones mapped to the polytene chromosomes by in
situ hybridisation. The clone lists are available either as a
"comma-separated value" file (P1.csv), that can be used by a spreadsheet
or database program, or as a formatted table file (P1.txt). Information
on how to obtain the clones and how to use P1 clones, as well as further
information about the Drosophila Genome Center's projects, is in the help
document P1.doc. These files are available from the Clones menu of the
Flybase Gopher server or in the directory flybase/clones on the FlyBase
