I have uploaded an arcade style game based on the life of the laboratory
fruit fly to sumex-aim.stanford.edu, and it is now available by FTP. It
should be a source of pleasure to any lab that has dealt with mite
infestations, and provide empathy for poor D. melanogaster-- battling
forceps, water droplets, radiation, and ether clouds while trying to feed
the young larvae below. The game is shareware, meaning you are free to
try it out and distribute to friends, but if you like it and play it, I
ask you send $5, and a picture of your nicest looking enhancer trap,
stain, or object of research.
It requires at least 16 colors and a 14 inch monitor to play. Oh, and
it only works on Macintosh computers!
