[Deepsea] Coral Reef Research Expeditions

Coral Reef Research Expeditions to the Seychelles and
Overseas Career Opportunities in the field 

Your students can gain valuable fieldwork experience working as part of
a Global Vision International research expedition during their summer
vacation or after their studies. GVI are seeking expedition members with
skills in marine / biological sciences to participate in scuba diving
surveys and marine conservation projects in the Seychelles . Please
share this information with your students (and fellow lecturers). 

Expedition members are needed for periods of 5, 10 and 15 weeks to join
the GVI marine research team on the island Mahe to a ssist with the
local partner's priority biological study and conservation programmes
throughout the islands of the Seychelles . Activities include coral reef
research, whale shark migration surveys, turtle nesting research,
plankton sampling and in-water turtle surveys among others. 

GVI works closely with a number of organisations including: 

*	Nature Protection Trust of the Seychelles (NPTS) 
*	Local government Marine Parks 
*	Ministry of Environment 
*	Island Development Company (IDC) 
*	Marine Conservation Society of the Seychelles (MCSS) 
*	International NGOs and universities.
