TENURE-TRACK FACULTY POSITION
MICROBIAL NATURAL PRODUCTS
The Center of Marine Biotechnology (COMB) of the University of Maryland
Biotechnology Institute seeks applications for a tenure-track
Assistant/Associate Professor. The successful candidate will have an
established track record on the molecular biology/ecology of microorganisms
of importance for natural products discovery. Key organisms of interest
include bacteria, cyanobacteria, and archaea that are associated with
organisms producing natural products. Priority will be given to applicants
studying the relationship between symbiotic bacteria and their invertebrate
marine hosts. Applicants must have a Ph.D. and at least 3 years of relevant
COMB is an integrated research community committed to the study, protection
and enhancement of marine resources through the application of molecular
biology and molecular genetics. COMB offers excellent research and core
facilities. Qualified applicants should submit a letter of intent that
includes research goals, together with a detailed curriculum vitae and the
names and addresses of three professional references.
