applications are invited for a
at the Institute for Molecular Cell Biology, University of
Amsterdam (BioCentrum), The netherlands.
The successful candidate will join a research group of 10
academics and research students working on signal
transduction in relation to the sexual and vegetative cell
cycle of Chlamydomonas eugametos. The appointee will
construct chimaeric genes in existing transformation vectors
and use standard transformation techniques to introduce key
signalling genes and signal-monitoring genes (eg. protein
tyrosine phosphatases, calcium-dependent kinases,
phospholipase C, aequorin). Analysis of phenotypic effects
of over- and under-expression and the cellular localization
of epitope-tagged genes is the main topic of this project.
The position is funded by the EC Human Capital and Mobility
