Eukaryotic Molecular Geneticist
The Department of Genetics and Biochemistry at Clemson University
invites applications for a tenure-track faculty appointment at the
level of Assistant Professor, although an Associate Professor level
appointment may be considered for exceptional applicants.
We are seeking a eukaryotic molecular geneticist working preferably
with model animal or fungal systems to complement our current
research strengths in plant and human genetics. Postdoctoral
experience is required. The successful candidate will be expected to
develop a competitive, extramurally-funded research program, mentor
M.S. and Ph.D. degree candidates in genetics and/or biochemistry and
contribute to teaching undergraduate and graduate level genetics
courses. The Department of Genetics and Biochemistry is a newly
formed department comprised of 5 junior, 4 senior, and 9 associated
faculty. The successful candidate will be housed with other
departmental faculty in the recently completed 27 million dollar
Clemson Science and Technology Center equipped with state of the art
laboratories and genomics facilities. To apply, submit a letter of
