REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN

Whether or not you're submitting a poster, please consider attending
ISBRA. The technical program will include 55 contributed papers
covering a wide range of topics, including clustering and
classification, gene expression analysis, gene networks, genome
analysis, motif finding, pathways, protein structure prediction,
protein domain interactions, phylogenetics, and software tools. The
program will include tutorials and three invited keynote speakers:

 * Ming Li (University of Waterloo)
 * Laura L. Elnitski (National Human Genome Research Institute)
 * Mark Borodovsky (Georgia Institute of Technology)

For full details please visit the ISBRA website.

Registration is now open. To save money, be sure to register no later
than March 31, when early registration ends.

 * Full registration (on or before March 31) $475
 * Full registration (after March 31)         $575
 * Basic registration (on or before March 31) $275
 * Basic registration (after March 31)        $375
 * Additional banquet ticket                   $60

Full registration includes a copy of the proceedings and one banquet
ticket. Basic registration does not include a copy of the proceedings
or a banquet ticket, although tickets may be purchased separately.

The International Symposium on Bioinformatics Research and Applications
(ISBRA) provides a forum for the exchange of ideas and results among
researchers, developers, and practitioners working on all aspects of
bioinformatics and computational biology and their applications. ISBRA
is the successor to the International Workshop on Bioinformatics
Research and Applications (IWBRA), held on May 22-25, 2005 in Atlanta,
Georgia and on May 28-31, 2006 in Reading, UK in conjunction with the
International Conference on Computational Science.

Authors are invited to submit posters that present original unpublished
research in all areas of bioinformatics, including the development of
experimental or commercial systems. Topics of interest include but are
not limited to:

* Biomedical image processing
* Bio-ontology and data mining
* Computational genetics
* Comparative genomics
* Databases and data integration
* Gene expression and microarrays
* Gene identification and annotation
* Immunoinformatics
* Molecular evolution and phylogeny
* Molecular modeling and simulation
* Parallel bioinformatics algorithms
* Pathways and systems biology
* Protein structure prediction
* Sequence analysis
