This summer school is part of the program for Ph.D courses offered
by the Department of Chemistry, University of Copenhagen.Participation
in this summer school is intended for Ph.D students in chemistry,
biochemistry or biology, and young post docs from different countries.
The
deadline for registration is the 5th of June 2000.
Content:
Structure and function of the phospholipid bilayer.
Embedding of proteins in the membranes.
Structural predictions of membrane proteins from protein sequences.
Expression and purification of membrane proteins.
Methods used for structure determination of membrane proteins.
Structure and Function of membranes.
Medicinal aspects of membrane transport.
Selected examples of membrane proteins with known function.
