biol slang dictionary

Hello,
first of all, I apologise for cross-posting.

I am considering the idea of creating a Biol Slang Dictionary. The idea
is somewhat similar to that of Hacker's Dictionary, yet not entirely
identical. I am looking for words whose origin is biological, yet whose
use ceased to be confined to science, and which are used in everyday
speech. The examples (those that I use) are, for instance:

differentiation - 1) growing up; 2) specialization
valence - 1)opportunity; 2) vacant place or position
apoptosis - severe exhaustion
well-spread - relaxed

I would greatly appreciate any input. Anything that sounds funny,
pseudo-scientific, has a definite meaning and is really used by you, or
by your colleagues.
