Civilians killed in airstrikes on refugee convoys
Dear Friends,

NATO planes opened fire on a group of returning ethnic Albanian refugees on
Wednesday, massacring at least 80 and gravely wounding more than 25 people.
Several groups of ethnic Albanians were returning to their homes from Vrbica
and Cafa Prusit border crossing to Albania after being assured of safety by
the Yugoslav government, when they were attacked from NATO planes on
Djakovica-Prizren road between 1 and 3 p.m.
The planes swooped down in three waves on the refugees, mostly women and
children returning home to two villages in the Djakovica area and one in the
Prizren area.
According to survivors, the fiercest attack was at 3 p.m. at Bistrazin, 10km
from Djakovica in the direction of Prizren, where the planes fired missiles
and dropped bombs on the helpless people.
According to unofficial information, in this brutal attack of NATO airplanes
largest number of civilians died since the beginning of Kosovo crisis.
A team of US APTN television filmed on Wednesday the site of this massacre
where 80 ethnic Albanian refugees have been murdered. The APTN pictures of
bodies, including women and children, destroyed houses and pieces of bombs
were transmitted worldwide by the Eurovision.
This attack is the last one in series of NATO attacks on civilians, on
Tuesday NATO bombed a civilian train heading from Belgrade to Thessalloniki
and murdered 11 people including 10 year old boy who was burned to death
trapped in one of the train cars.
Just a few days before that NATO bombed little mining town in the east of
Serbia killing 10 people. Bombs hit civilian area of this small town with no
strategic significance.
NATO officials admitted all this crimes and all they could say about this
was that it was a “mistake” and that they are “sorry”, like the war itself
is not always the mistake and at the end everyone is always sorry it ever
started, especially the one who started it.
You can see the pictures of these terrible crimes on our web-sites
www.aic.org.yu and www.barw.org.yu, and please send us Your comments and
Your thoughts regarding NATO aggression on Yugoslavia.

Sincerely Yours,
