I'm pretty stuck on this one. Ideally we would obviously conserve every living
thing that has been put in danger because of the actions of humans. But given
that we live in a world where resources for conservation are in short supply,
is it time to give up on the panda and direct our efforts to other species?
I'm inclined to say yes to halting captive breeding of pandas which has been
so unsuccessful, but in the wild i think continued protection is no bad
thing. At least it means that the habitat will be protected and along with it
many other species.
These are a few of my thoughts, anybody else?
