The title of the thesis ‘LIPID PEROXIDATION AND ANTIOXIDANT ENZYMES OF LIVER
UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF IONISING RADIATION AND DIFFERENT LIVER DAMAGING
FACTORS’ , Minsk, 1996, 135 pages. Study goal: determination of the role of
lipid peroxidation and antioxidant protection in liver in the stage of
distant irradiation effects (at the stage of radiation-induced
dislipoproteinemia) under dietetic, toxic and surgical damage of the liver
and its correction. Results: In the stage of radiation-induced
dislipoproteinemia (17day after one-time irradiation) there were discovered
typical changes in lipid peroxidation and antioxidant enzymes activity in
the liver for	different origin hypercholesterolemia.	Advance ionizing
irradiation modifies free radical processes in the liver under	dietetic,
toxic and surgical damage of the liver. Vitamin complex A,E,C completely
reduced irradiation ability to stimulate lipid	peroxidation. Essential
phospholipids and probucol promoted intensification of antioxidant system and
reduced peroxidized products	in the stage of dietetic and toxic
hypercholesterolemia after one-time irradiation.
