Our site would like to acquire a large format printer to produce
posters for scientific presentations. We're considering an HP450C
design jet (36" width x roll length).
A given poster would likely include graphs, charts, text and possibly
some scanned photographs.
Can anyone comment on the suitability of this printer for this
purpose? What is the HP RTL language supported by this printer? Is
there a postscript option available for the 450C (we have a PC
environment) or postscript software rendering that can output to a
450C?
Can you recommend printers other than the 450C for poster printouts
that are in the same neighbourhood price-wise ($5K Cdn with options).
