I believe the term "heartburn" derives from the location of the pain. The
burning sensation is perceived to originate in the chest, near the heart,
when actually it is caused by acid backing up into the esophogus.
I was actually seeking information on whether inhalents such as those being
used at my office can cause heartburn. Any ideas?
