A new article has been added to the extensive "Your Career In The
Sciences" section of the internet.
This newest article, THE ART OF LEADERSHIP, has been written by David G.
Jensen, Managing Director of Search Masters Int'l in Sedona, Arizona. Dave
wrote the article originally for ChemTech, a publication of the American
Chemical Society. It has since been adapted to suit the scientist in a
broader range of career interests than exclusively chemistry.
THE ART OF LEADERSHIP describes the five major leadership "styles" into
which scientists and technical professionals generally develop. This
discussion is particularly interesting if you are considering moving
beyond bench science at some point in your career and you wish to
understand what leadership is all about in an R & D environment.

The index page for "Your Career In The Sciences" lists over 170 pages of
text articles about career issues, management development, personal and
lifestyle issues for the scientist, and other pertinent material to the
topic. It is a completely non-commercial site, and is considered required
reading by many University placement offices who point it out as an
excellent source of information about careers in industrial research.
