Hi all,
This is a new experience for me in bionet so bear with me as i may be in the wrong area. Yesterday my
19 year old broke his collar bone while rollar blading. We went to the emerg room and had the x-rays and he
was put in a shoulder strap device to pull his arms apart. The broken bone is resting on top of the other one
and the strap is supposed to pull his shoulders back so the bones re-align. This afternoon I will be taking
him to see a physicians assistant to determine a course of action. I was wondering if anyone can tell me about
how long it takes a collar bone to heal? He is due to start at NC State in about 30 days...will this injury
hinder his going to classes?
Of course I will do what the Dr. says but any and all advice & suggestions will be appreciated.
