Peroxide and oral hygene revisited

There was a thread about the use of H2O2 for brushing teeth. My wife
recently underwent extensive dental surgery, and when the stiches were re-
moved, the oral surgeon suggested that she include some H2O2 in with the salt
water rinse. In particular, he suggested that she apply the salt-water-H2O2
directly to a particularly deep wound with a syringe to prevent infection
and improve healing. It seems that the use of H2O2 for dental hygene is
OK.
